Riedel
Glassware and Decanters (various prices)
The
absolute best in glassware for wine and
spirits. Let me know what style and price
range you have in mind. Insuring delivery
of these is cost-prohibitive for me, so
these are only available for pick up from
South Melbourne.
"The finest glasses for both
technical and hedonistic purposes are
those made by Riedel. The effect of these
glasses on fine wine is profound. I cannot
emphasize enough what a difference they
make.”
(Robert M.Parker, Jr. The Wine Advocate)

Red
Hill Estate 'Blanc de Blanc' (or Blanc de
Noir) ($25)
Took
out the trophy at the Brisbane Wine Show
- terrific, refreshing fruit-sweetness,
with a lovely dry finish. The Blanc de noir
is a bit 'meatier', made from 100% pinot
noir (red) grapes, with a pale salmon colour.

Domaine
Chandon Sparkling Pinot / Shiraz ($26)
The
ultimate imprimateur - Reggie drinks
it (probably the only Pinot he does drink).
Seriously, though, a serious sparkling red
- but not porty. Ideal bottle for the Christmas
table with roast big bird and ham.

Joseph
Perrier NV ($50)
The
'real thing' (and I don't mean Coca-Cola).
Wonderful yeasty-bready characters - ideal
for toasting friends and loved ones (and new
golf holes). |
