Red
Hill Estate 'Blanc de Blanc' (or Blanc de
Noir) ($25)
Took
out the trophy at the Brisbane Wine Show
- terrific, refreshing fruit-sweetness,
with a lovely dry finish. The Blanc de noir
is a bit 'meatier', made from 100% pinot
noir (red) grapes, with a pale salmon colour.

Blue
Pyreness 2000 vintage ($25)
Fresh,
crisp and clean - was just the thing for
celebrating Duck's 40th, and will back up
very nicely for Christmas and the New Year
festivities.
